The Computer Pride Training Centre, a leading NCC Education partner, and Middlesex University in East Africa celebrated another graduation ceremony in September at a colourful ceremony held in the nation’s capital, Nairobi on Friday 20 September.
This was the institution’s third graduation event after successful graduating cohorts in 2011 and 2012. Participants graduating were drawn from the NCC Education Advanced Diploma, NCC Education Roll of Honor, NCC Education High Achievers and Middlesex University Degree programmes.
Guests included representatives from the Kenyan Government, Middlesex University, Computer Pride Partners and invited guests of the graduating students. Business Development Manager, Bev O’Donovan represented NCC Education at the event.
“This is an important occasion for the young people who have completed their studies and we wish to acknowledge and commend them for the efforts they have put in to achieve success.
“I however wish to remind them that there are bigger things waiting, which include opportunities to start or enhance careers in both employment and entrepreneurship, given that they now have knowledge and skills”, said Mustafa Abdullabhai, CEO and Principal of the Computer Pride Training Centre.
NCC Education and the Computer Pride Training Centre have partnered since 2002 to provide globally recognised and locally relevant qualifications at competitive prices.
In a message from NCC Education, Managing Director, Dawn Postans, the graduates were reminded that “Today marks a great milestone in your career and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on what you have accomplished and wish you great success in the future. As committed students of Computer Pride you have demonstrated that dedication, perseverance and hard work all equal momentous rewards and personal achievement.

Attendees from Middlesex University, a learning partner with Computer Pride for the last three years, were able to witness the effect of their partnership on the lives of the graduating students. Professor Michael Driscoll, Vice-Chancellor, Middlesex University explained“We are delighted to work with Computer Pride, providing talented African students with a high quality education and opportunities to succeed. This work began in 2010 and it is wonderful to hear that our partnership is allowing high achieving Information Technology and Business Information Systems students to gain qualifications and move into roles with impressive and high profile employers.”
In the closing words of her message Dawn Postans underlined the progress the students had made and the importance of continuing on this journey, “NCC Education and Computer Pride have been working in partnership for many years and we are equally proud of each student who chooses to learn with us. Over the years we have seen graduates achieve and progress their careers as specialists in Computing, Information Technology and Business, and they continue to inspire us. We are confident that you too will have a highly successful career following your achievements today. Remember to remain committed, motivated and focused in all you do and you will reap the rewards of your efforts”.
