NCC Education’s most recent charitable event was a resounding success! Staff from the UK Head Office held a Curryoke on Saturday 26th September to raise money for Oxfam and Francis House Children’s Hospice.
Held in the Islamabad Grill restaurant in Manchester, the NCC Education social committee organised an evening of eating and singing – all in the name of charity! Friends and family of the UK staff were treated to a veritable feast of curry, rice and naan bread, while a local DJ provided music and karaoke (for anyone brave enough to try)!
The night was brought to a close with a truly fabulous raffle, with many of the prizes generously donated by local business including: a voucher for a meal (including drink) for two from the Pitcher & Piano, a voucher for a meal for two from Gusto and a bottle of wine from Saints & Scholars.
The night was an overwhelming success with a staggering £642.09 raised through admission and raffle ticket sales. The money will be split equally between the two charities and added to money previously collected throughout the year.
The NCC Education social committee would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part or donated their time, money or raffle prizes to the event, and look forward to as much success in their next venture.
