NCC Education’s new managing director, John Fairhurst, recently took the time to visit Bangladesh and our valuable Accredited Partner Centres.
John’s trip last week, which included a visit to Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT), the Institute of Business and Information Technology (IBIT) and a session with the top universities in Bangladesh, was hailed a great success.
On the 15th January, John, along with NCC Education’s Regional Director Haridas Ramasamy and Business Development Manager Nayel Chowdhury, invited top universities from Bangladesh to attend an event which created a prime opportunity to introduce NCC Education and its high-quality programmes on offer. John discussed in detail the way in which NCC Education operates and why we are a vital tool in order to help students achieve their goals and aspirations.
The next day the NCC Education team visited Bhuiyan Institute of Technology (BIT) and took part in a tour of the campus and met their students, teachers and management staff. The visit was vital in order to witness firsthand the academic operation taking place at BIT and also to discuss the marketing strategy in place to successfully promote NCC Education’s programmes.
The trio then travelled to Sylhet and met with Accredited Partner Centre, the Institute of Business and Information Technology (IBIT). John held one-to-one sessions with management, staff and students where valuable topics were discussed, including any issues that students could face and advice was offered to the faculty on how teaching methods could possibly be improved.
On the 18th January, Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) enjoyed a visit from NCC Education along with Mohammad Nuruzzaman, executive director of DIIT and other high officials. This visit also included sessions between NCC Education, staff and students and after which they enjoyed a tour of the Accredited Partner Centre.
Discussions were held on the day on how NCC Education will provide support for faculty members to improve their English skills and their teaching proficiency and also the hope of introducing a post graduate certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education.
“The trip to Bangladesh was a very important one to us,” said NCC Education’s Business Development Manager, Nayel Chowdhury. “It was vital for us to meet our loyal Accredited Partner Centres and discuss our hopes for the future and to also meet with prospective universities in the region to highlight what we can offer and how we can work together. The visit was a great success and we received a great amount of positive feedback which helps us to create a clear idea of the future for both our partners and NCC Education.”
