NCC Education Enters Russian Market 22 March 2010

Representatives from NCC Education head office recently attended the 10th Festival of Foreign Education exhibition in Moscow to promote the International Foundation Year (IFY) and Pre-Master’s programmes, with its soon to be accredited centre ‘Universia’.

Universia are to be the first education establishment in Russia offering NCC Education qualifications. Successful completion of the IFY programme allows Russian students to study at home for a qualification which is recognised for entry by many UK universities. The centre will also be offering the Pre-Master’s programmes in Information Technology and Business, for students who wish to study for a Master’s programme in the UK and who need to upgrade their Academic English.

Janette Lister, Regional Manager, NCC Education commented “NCC Education are very excited to have Universia as our first and exclusive partner in Moscow, offering the IFY and Pre-Master’s programmes. We are looking forward to welcoming our first Russian students later this year!”

Universia will be delivering the programmes on campus at Moscow State Mining University, a longstanding and very reputable university with excellent facilities, from October 2010.

“British education is very popular in Russia, but until recently it was hard to achieve because of the gap between our educational systems. The NCC Education Foundation and Pre-Master’s programmes now available in Moscow, means British education is more accessible and more affordable, thus giving our young people greater chance to realise their dreams and their potential” commented Olga Statueva, Development Manager, Universia.

Universia will also be conducting a seminar at the British Council in Moscow on 19th and 20th May 2010 to promote the new programmes to prospective students.
