NCC Education is pleased to announce the current ‘International Foundation Year’ programme is now a regulated qualification and will be known as the NCC Education Level 3 International Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (L3IFDHES).
Being regulated means it will be reviewed, recognised and monitored by the qualifications regulatory body OFQUAL. OFQUAL ensures that qualifications are fit for purpose and meet quality standards. Qualifications are therefore nationally recognised and meet industry/academic needs.
Regulated qualifications strengthen candidates’ progression opportunities as they are seen as more favourable by employers and universities.
For centres, there will be minimal impact on the day-to-day operations, as the curriculum content and assessment of the qualification will remain the same. Being regulated will not bring about a change in the modules that you deliver or how you deliver them. The assessments will also remain in the same format as they have been previously.
