European School of Business & Language (ESBL) a private business and language school was set up by two experienced university professors and business managers in 2010. Their objective was to be able to offer business programmes, all taught in English, to international students. Indeed, ESBL is a ‘little part of Britain’ in the heart of Barcelona.
ESBL immediately sought Cambridge University accreditation to teach the standard and advanced levels of their business programmes. Once this programme was established, they decided that they wanted to be able to offer postgraduate programmes, with the NCC Education PgD BM being a natural choice. With the strong progression routes onto UK Master’s ESBL knew this would be a popular choice for both Spanish and International students. Upon completion of the PgD BM; either full or part time, students are able to complete a number of Master’s top ups: MSc Management via the University of Hertfordshire, MBA or MSc Management via the University of Gloucestershire or an MBA awarded by the University of Worcester. ESBL were accredited for the PgD BM in March, being the FIRST and ONLY Postgraduate APC in Barcelona.
ESBL have grand plans for the future; they wish to double the size of their school and hopefully have an intake of 60 student per term onto the PgD BM. ESBL are very interested in attracting students from India, China, Russia, South America and the UK. After only having been accredited for under a month they have already put in the groundwork and have had expressions of interest from other countries as well including Australia, Ireland and Ghana.
